This is my first embroidery piece. I really enjoy it.
I know, I'm a horrible webmistress. Its been over a year since I updated last but I've got plenty of new photos. Since I've moved to Missouri I've found lots of inspiration.
1) The first photo is my Grandmother's cat, Penny.
2) The second is of my grandparents' farm in Oklahoma very early in the morning.
3) Third is a stream at a park in Missouri.
4) This one is at the same park and the light coming through the leaves was so beautiful.
5) This is my very pretty Amaryllis. It bloomed so well.
6) Another of my plant.
7) This is of the ice storm we had here. Really bad storm.
8) Another of the storm.
9) And another.
10) Yet another.
11) This is of my adorable nephew.
12) Another of him. He's a year old in these pics.
I'm also starting to get into embroidery. I'll have to post those when I have a chance.
I'm on a roll with this jewelry thing. Okay, here's the details on each piece:
1) Necklace for a commission. Made from gold colored wire and a stone. I'm not sure what the stone is.
2) Bracelet made from silver wire and glass beads.
3) Necklace made from silver wire and hematite beads.
I guess that's all I have to say about those pieces. Until next time....
Wow, 3 new pictures. Okay, 2 of them are older but one is new. I think I forget to put pictures on my site sometimes.
Anywho, the newest one is of my character on Animal Crossing: Wild World for Nintendo DS. Fun game! Her name is Mango. I designed her clothes in the game. They look just like that.
The second one is just an abstract flower I drew in Adobe Illustrator.
The third is a commission I did for my 12th grade literature teacher. She also commissioned me on the sword cg. She found me after about a year and a half and needed another brochure cover. I was very happy to help :) I think it came out wonderfully. Better than I expected.
I also changed the font because I was having complaints about the readability. I could read it just fine but I guess it varies from monitor to monitor.
I added the link to my cousin Aubrey's website. She's an awesome artist. Shout-out: What up, yo!?
No updates in the area of my art yet. Hopefully soon!
Here are two necklaces that I made for two of the cutest 7 year olds. They saw the marble one and they, of course, wanted one too.
Not much to say about them. Made of nylon monofilament, 11/0 seed beads, glass beads, 20 gauge wire and little plastic square beads.
I got my wire in the mail a few days ago and it's better than I thought it would be. I think I'm really going to enjoy wireworking.
This is my first wireworking piece. I've had the marble since I was about 11 so I thought it would be a good idea to put it to good use. My favorite part is the two little dangly things. The wire is 18 gauge silver plated copper. There will be more wire stuff to come.
I've found a new hobby....jewelry making! I got into it after gettting the idea to make the jewelry myself for a upcoming special occasion  to save money. I had done some loomwork in the past and did macrame but this time I want to try some real jewelry that maybe I could sell if I get good at it. I really want to try wireworking. I already ordered some wire, a cabochon and I'm looking into getting some Swarovski beads. My grandmother is totally on board with this kind of stuff and is going to buy me some tools and things. Yay.
This, my first serious piece, is a free form peyote stitch bracelet. It's made with 11/0 white seed beads, acrylic pink beads, some transparent, some with yellow-ish highlights.
Oh, yeah. FIVE new drawings. Some are a little older but hey, they're still drawings.
*The first one is another self drawing. I actually drew this before my scanner was working and I wanted to color it so I tried to recreate it on the computer. Didn't work as well as I'd hoped. I like this so much better.
*The second one was just something that popped in my head. He looks devious ;)
*The third one was an assignment in school. For those who don't know, it's called pointalism. It took forever!!! I also started a self portrait like that too but it was like 35"x25" or something so needless to say I haven't finished it (it's been like 2.5 years). I used a sharpie fine point felt tip pen.
*The fourth was also a school assignment. It's the opposite of shading. Not as hard as it may seem though.
*The last picture is a watercolor and also a school assignment, lol. I'm quite fond of this because it was my first watercolor and I like purple and yellow together. It was done on an 18"x12" piece of watercolor paper. I used a still life of a couple of silk flowers just for positioning. The rest I made up :D The silk flowers were really bright red with no leaves or stems. Hope you enjoy!
